Vitis™ Liquid Ant Bait from Bayer CropScience is a ready-to-use, IPM-friendly product now labeled to control sugar-feeding ant species in orchards, vineyards and other agricultural crop environments. Key species controlled are those typically found in association with honeydew-producing sucking pests, including Argentine ant (Linepithema humile) and big-headed ant (Pheidole megacephala), as well as others.
Vitis offers a convenient and easy-to-use formulation that works in conjunction with in-field bait stations that have been approved by EPA-ChemSAC as non-food use. It needs no mixing or diluting prior to use.
